Effectiveness of LON-CAPA for OGT Science Intervention

This team is investigating whether the online learning resource delivery and assessment system, LON CAPA can be an effective means to provide remediation intervention for students struggling to pass the science portion of the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT). LON CAPA is an open source, gnu licensed system developed at Michigan State University and collaboratively extended by users throughout the world. It is designed specifically to support instruction and assessment in science.

The team is currently building a prototype instructional sequence based on their analysis of the results of a practice OGT administered to freshmen in March 2004. (eventually add info about the resources used for background info, research questions, general research study plan, and eventually a link to the prepared article.
