Recruitment

This task force is related to Goal 5: increase the recruitment of pre-service and retention of in-service teachers of mathematics and science, and increase the number of faculty positions dedicated to mathematics and science teacher education. The focus is on the recruitment of pre-service teachers. Public school and university educators will develop a multi-year plan for involving public school students in mathematics and science enrichment and career selection opportunities, such as lecture series, contests, Future-Teacher clubs, network-supported content assistance, undergraduate teaching assistance programs, and summer scholars programs.
